Learning to dance is something special that lasts a lifetime. It should be fun, friendly and sociable. At Step By Step we can teach you a multitude of dances in the ideal environment. Its great for children too as it really helps them build their self esteem.
We teach a range of the Ballroom, Latin American, New Vogue and Old Time Dances; some of the dances you could learn include:
Ballroom - Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep.
Latin American - Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive.
As well as a vareity of wedding dances.
We have a range of classes to suit your age (from 6 years to 60+), from beginners to advanced medalist, competative couples as well as private lessons.
Classes are generally held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights depending on age and level.
The next new Adult beginners classes start on Wednesday February 8th at 8pm at Hutt Intermediate School Hall. Lessons run for a 10 week course of 55 minutes.
Beginner children's classes for 8-12 years start on Thursday February 7th at 6 pm at Boulcott School Hall. Lessons run for 10 week course of 50 minutes and include a variety of the Latin and Ballroom dances as well as an element of general Jazz/Aerobic style dance for fitness and flexibility

Half hour private lessons can be provided by one of our many teachers who are all trained by the principles Cheryl and Rob; who themselves have been teaching for over 25 years.
Private lessons allow one on one attention with you and/or partner. A private lesson allows you to focus on the dances you want to spend time learning.

If you would like somthing different for your wedding, we can choreograph something unique to you. We can also teach you something traditional such as the Waltz, the Tango or even the fun Cha Cha.
